Hearts Burning (Completed)

I wanted to show the completed piece of the Emmaus story that I have been working on this past month. When I completed it yesterday  I wanted to include some white marble and earth tone tiles for the rays around Christ head.  They recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread so I wanted to also break up the tile in the rays because they were not sure who they were talking to. Often we do not get the whole pictureuntil we start putting the pieces together. I like how the color fits in with the white accent on the carved words and carved rays. I will use this piece as one of the ones that I exhibit at the Bascilica of Mary Show I am having in September and October of this coming year.Hearts Burning, 25"h x 14"w x 1"d
