Tulips

With Spring comes the popping up of many colorful flowers. Sometimes thanks to the squirrels you discover some shooting up in places where you really did not plant them. My mom loved flowers and would make beautiful bouquets with all the flowers she planted and cared for. I always particularly enjoyed the Spring flowers of iris, lilies of the valley, tulips, daffodils, and flowering trees branches. Recently I made a small carving of tulips and enjoyed thinking back while I made it to some of those wonderful memories of growing up with such beauty always around. I am grateful for the things my parents taught me to treasure and share.
