The Sower

At this time of the year I cannot help but think of the farmers planting their crops. I am grateful for having grown up on a farm and witnessing the different stages of growth.Sowing involves throwing and pulling back. The hand continues in one uniform movement until all is distributed for growth. The action is proceeded and followed by much contemplation. The sower steps out where most will not go. Not afraid of the dirt or rough contour the sower moves about through unfamiliar paths blazing new trails into future growth. Through patient analyzing one can follow the trail and witness the growth. Time is the gift that creates the growth and heals the land and us. Replenished for new increase, much is gathered in watchfulness.Only past abundance brings one back to the field each year to repeat the new cycle and gain from its process. Combined with sun, rain and wind we go forward into fertile earth to reap new depth.
