Cross

During the season of Lent we often look to the cross for meaning. Over the years I have made and sold many different types of crosses. In my studio it is probably one of the most popular items for people to buy, when they are looking for a gift to share. One of the crosses that I made a few years ago was inspired by experimentation of what wire would look like if added to it. One thing lead to another and eventually beads also became part of the piece. I soon realized while working on it that this cross also represented Resurrection. It is hard for us to separate death and Resurrection which gratefully is something that always leaves us filled with hope. This is a hope that we are called to share with others.
